TO SUPPORT COLLABORATION BETWEEN GOVERNMENT, ACADEMIA AND INDUSTRY

TO TRANSLATE CAPABILITY MANAGEMENT MATERIALS INTO LOCAL LANGUAGES
To partner with government, employers, learning providers, NGOs and indigenous language experts to translate capability management materials (working instructions, job routines, standards and procedures, etc) into local languages to enhance the delivery of learning at the coal face. The ultimate objective of this is to foster the use of local languages in teaching, assessing, and verifying competences and skills (side-by-side with the lingua franca), as the bulk of workforce population comes from host communities. This is one way of contributing to the growth of indigenous languages, making them relevant in modern day business, some of which are endangered.
DEVELOP CAPABILITY MANAGEMENT STRATEGIES
To develop capability management strategies for effective implementation of Local Content requirements and Public Private Partnership initiatives.
TO EVALUATE THE CAPABILITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM IN PLACE
To evaluate the capability management system in place for adequacy, effectiveness and sustainability against acceptance standards (national and international)
TO PARTNER WITH TRAINING DELIVERY BODIES AND CAPABILITY SERVICE PROVIDERS
To partner with training delivery bodies and capability service providers (including NGOs) that have similar objectives in building Country and regional local content capacity in a safe manner.
TO SUPPORT ACQUISITION OF RELEVANT LEARNING AND QUALIFICATIONS
To provide the structure and network to support the acquisition of relevant learning and qualifications from Country and International Independent Certifying bodies. This includes refresher training, periodic assessments, compliance tests and revalidation of qualifications to keep abreast with changes in standards in order to assure capability fitness at all times.
TO TRANSFORM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS INTO UNDERSTANDABLE FORMATS
To transform qualification requirements into understandable formats, including use of appropriate communication and learning tools.
TO SUPPORT SKILL ACQUISITION FOR SMALL, MEDIUM SCALE ENTERPRISES
To support skill acquisition for Small, Medium Scale Enterprises and emerging Industries, especially in building local capacity in Rural Areas where skilled labour is scarce.
